Final fitting - Utolsó próba

Well, I  nearly finished my daughter's waltzer dress. I took these photos on the final fitting. I have to build together the top and the skirt, and put some sequins and beads on.
The event is tomorrow :)

A lányom szalagavatós ruhája készül, a fotókat az utolsó ruhapróbán készítettem. Még össze kell építenem a fölsőt a szoknyával, eldolgozni, hogy tökéletes legyen belülről is, no meg persze díszíteni fogom még gyönggyel és flitterrel.
A bál hopnap lesz :)

Edging sample - Bordűr félkészen

I tried to make a small edging to try the corner on my new motif. This quite dark blue thread is purchased lately. It is Anchor Crochet size 10. I am not satisfied, it is not even enough. But I go straight to the end of the project, then I will make it from a nice thread as well:)

My other thing to do is making a nice princesse dress for my daughter. At the school they have an event, where she is dancing waltzer. I will show the finished dress as well.

Nemrég vettem egy új fonalat kipróbálásra. Anchor crochet 10. Nem szerettem meg igazán, az egyenetlensége nem kedvez a hajócsipkének. Sebaj, mostmár befejezem vele, amibe belekezdtem. Egy kisebb bordűrt készítek, az újonnan tervezett motívum felhasználásával.

Másik projekt, a lányom szalagavató táncruhája. Keringőhöz. Majd a végeredményt is megmutatom:)

Corner - Sarok

A hétvégén megpróbáltam valami elfogadható sarok motívumot elővarázsolni a legutóbb tervezett mintámhoz. Hát az első csúfos kudarc lett.
A második már elég jól működőnek látszik, de azért kell egy próbát tennem  egy nagyobb darabon is.

At the weekend I tried to make some useful corner for my new edging, but the first one is a complete mess.
The second one looks quite O.K., but I have to make a bigger sample piece.
Anyway, thanks for the name suggestions, I like so much muscaan's "Elegant Peaks" and madtatter80's "Reflections" ideas.
What is about "Reflected Peaks" ? Does it sound well?

Playing - Játszadozom

As I found the balance on my latest motif, I play with it a little bit.
The first step was to find a nice end. I made it now in two colors, so the symmetry and the two different end are very well visible. 
I prefer the blue one. What do you think? Oh, and I didn't find any good name for this motif. Any idea?

A legutóbbi mintámat most két színben készítettem el, így nagyon jól láthatóvá vált a szimmetria és a két különböző végződés. Nekem a kék tetszik jobban, simább, és a mérete is jobban illeszkedik a minta egészéhez. Mit gondoltok?

Yesterday we went to my parent's weekend house. It is in Zala county, on a really gorgeous and calm "vine hill". They call this place a vine hill, but there is no too many vineyards  any more. It is just a pretty good place to move from the crowd, and enjoy the nature. It is the season of harvests. We gathered approximately 20 kg of chestnuts, from this big tree ( 6m tall). I was 11 when my father planted this tree, so 35 years ago.

A hétvégén Zalában jártunk, a családi "birtokon". Csodás csendes hely, az elvonuláshoz és alkotáshoz hihetetlenül alkalmas.
Erről a 35 éves szelídgesztenye fáról kb. 20 kg gesztenyét gyűjtöttünk. És még maradt rajta jócskán! Kezdhetem a gesztenye főzést:)

Showing off - Dicsekszem

My "main products" are definitely my children :) Now let me show off a little bit. My younger son and his friends founded a band three month ago.They are The Luckies.
They made an EP with their own songs, and they had the first concert on Friday. They play a sort of old school blues and rock and roll.

A kisebbik fiam néhány barátjával alapított egy bandát három hónappal ezelőtt. Ők a The Luckies. Egyfajta régimódi blues és rock and roll stílusban játszanak.
Írtak négy saját számot is, amelynek lemezbemutató koncertje pénteken volt.

Second run - Második nekifutásra

Egészen elégedett vagyok az arányokkal, most kezdődhet a játék:)

I am quite satisfied with the balance of this motif, now I can start to play with it:)

Edging and other candies - Bordűr és egyéb nyalánkságok

Hosszú idő óta először újra elkezdtem tervezni egy csipkemintát. Az érdekelt, hogyan tudok "treff" formákat egymással szembe fordítva bordűrt létrehozni. Ez az első kísérlet eredménye. Még ráfér némi finomítás:)

After quite long time, I started to create a new edging. The basic idea was to turn "trifles"  face each other. This is the result of the first experiment:)

A héten ezt a férfi kabátujjat alkottam többek között. Ami itt egy szalagnak néz ki, az valójában három külön zsinór.

This week I made this men's winter coat  sleeve. What looks one braid, it is in fact three different "wire".
