Can't wait the result

I like together orange and purple. They have an interesting, vibrating effect.
So I dyed for my experiment a little bit of merino wool.
Now, it is on the spinning wheel.
I would like to try to weave them, and give a chance for knitting as well.

This pattern is really gorgeous for knitting a scarf from this thin yarn. It is fluffy and soft and warm in the same time:)

When computer doesn't work

I was here quite a long time ago, but telling the truth, without a computer it is hard to write new posts.

I had a fabulous Imac, 8 years old, and last May the video card stopped to work. It is in the second service, but they can't find a proper piece to repair.
So I think it is the end of our relationship.
To buy a new one is very expensive, but I don't want any other type of machine.

Anyway, now I could steal a little bit of time on the family one :)

My first tatting work in this year a little motif I have found on Frivol's blog.
Very cute. I modified a little bit the corner parts, the loops are just a fraction bigger, than  the original.

I made some samples to put together the motifs for doily or any other use.Of course I have some more ideas.
And I would like to try something to turn it into a chic pendant:)

Első - First

Elkészült végre az első szövött sálam! Húúúú ....rengeteget kell még tanulnom a szövésről, tele van hibával, szinte semmit nem csináltam jól, de azért örülök a végeredménynek:)
Újból tanultam valamit:))))

I've finished my very first handwoven scarf. It is full with mistakes, but I am quite proud, as I learned again something new:))))

Újra itt - Here again

Hosszú-hosszú kihagyás után újra itt. Mostanában behatóan  ismerkedem a férfiruha készítés rejtelmeivel, fantasztikus kaland:) Viszont rengeteg időmet felemészti, és ezért, no meg némi computer zűr miatt most nem olyan egyszerű időt szakítanom a blog írásra. Remélem, hamarosan megtalálom az egyensúlyt.

Idő közben persze csipkéztem is, no meg végre magaménak tudhatok egy kis Ashford szövőkeretet, alig várom, hogy kipróbálhassam.
Ennek érdekében beszereztem némi szőrt, vagyis extra finom és puha merinó gyapjút nyers fehér színben, puha jak gyapjút természetes világos-, valamint sötét barna színekben. Eddig fontam 16 dkg világosbarna jak fonalat, 24 dkg merinót, és már rokkán az utolsó, vagyis sötétbarna színű jak szőr.
Mivel ez az első próbálkozásom a szövéssel, valójában fogalmam sincs, hogy mit csinálok, vagy mennyi fonalra van szükségem, de hmarosan megtudomn.
Azt hiszem, egy kockás sál remek kezdet lesz:))))

Hi, I am here again. A little computer craziness, and lots of work with a real bespoke tailor, that's why I didn't write post for so long time.

In this time I bought an Ashford weaving loom, and some yak and merino hair, so my adventure with hand weaving just begins:)

Moonlit

Nemrégiben felfedeztem egy tetszetős és sokat ígérő hajócska típst, de Amerikából nem akartam megrendelni, a tetemes szállítási költség okán. Most már elérhető a Roseground boltból is, úgyhogy rendeltem egy párat.A várakozásoknak megfelelően pont jó méretű, könnyen kezelhető, rengeteg fonalat képes felvenni és még horgolótű is van rajta. Elsőszűmú kedvencemmé lépett elő:)

I recently discovered Handy Hand's new shuttles, named Moonlit.
Now available at Roseground as well, it is much better here in Europe, because the shipping is cheeper.
So I ordered one pair. 

I like these shuttles so much, because  almost the same size, than Lacis big shuttles, and include hook as well. Can wind  huge amount of thread on, much more than on Lacis shuttles.
